Train Street: Hanoi’s Most Beautiful and Interesting Street Closed – Check Out Alternative Places to Enjoy Train and Railway

The original Train Street

Train Street, also known as Hanoi’s most beautiful and famous street for the infamous Instagram shots is closed now. The government official announced the concerns of safety and overtourism in the street recently and in a short period of time, many cafes and shops located on the street had to close down.

This street was a famous tourist spot as visitors could sit right by the railway and witness the unbelievable scene of trains passing in front of their eyes. Closure of the Train Street was a good shock for both locals and travellers, but there are some alternative places to enjoy the railway and train view. So here’s a list of places you can resort to and still get a somewhat similar experience.

Opposite of the main Train Street along the railway, there’s Cafe A99. The main Train Street between Dien Bien Phu and Phung Hung streets is closed, but this part of railway is perhaps not yet been touched for the closure. Although there’s a risk of this place closing down soon, it is still open for guests and is the closest experience to the original Train Street.
