Recently, I saw an ad on Instagram about a newly opened Tropical Forest Coffee branch in Hanoi. Its exterior looked so stunning, so I marked it on my ‘to visit’ cafe list. Then it was an extremely hot day like a sauna and I thought an escape to ‘tropical forest’ would be a good idea. So I paid a visit immediately to check out and it was an absolute delight and a pleasant surprise. I’m so happy to have found this cafe and really excited to share with you!
Tropical Forest, A Plant Shop Hanoi
I had not known or heard of Tropical Forest brand prior to the ad I saw. But I found out that it is apparently a well-known plant and coffee shop brand in Hanoi amongst locals.
I love their “about us” section in their website where it says that Tropical Forest began with a dream. A dream of lush greens in a forest while living a bustling city life in Hanoi. They sell a great selection of plants for Hanoians to live with greens in their homes, offices etc. Also, they have some workshops for plant lovers!
Tropical Forest Coffee shop was an amazing discovery as a cafe lover, but their story and community go beyond just a coffee place in Hanoi.
Tropical Forest Coffee
Tropical Forest coffee has two other locations in Hanoi and just opened its third branch in Hai Ba Trung district. Its third location is on Mai Hac De street in a local district down south from Hoan Kiem lake. And that’s where I visited last week. I went during their soft opening period, so there were still some works being done, but it was still a delightful getaway from the heat.
As many of you might already know, the coffee culture in Vietnam is huge. Therefore, there’s no end to discovering new cafes and hidden gems. That’s one of the reasons why living or travelling in Hanoi is a dream for all cafe lovers. Along with a wonderful green haven at Gardenista Cafe in Old Quarter, Hanoi, Tropical Forest is another awesome haven from the city’s hustle and bustle.
What’s more is their exterior and interior design that makes it a perfect place full of Insta-worthy photo spots. From the super high ceiling to every detail of the place makes it a must visit cafe in town. I think it’s one-of-a-kind in the entire city for their beautifully designed space and decor!
I loved their mango smoothie, which was absolutely refreshing and yum. But they also seem to take coffee seriously with the huge cold brew maker! So for a peaceful break from the city’s heat, for some Instagrammable snapshots or even for a good work or reading session with coffee, Tropical Forest is highly recommended!
